PLOT:
Cherry (Ram Charan) is an Software Engineer in CgTrix company at Calcutta. Cherry's uncle is Jilebi (Brahmanandam). Unexpectedly, Jilebi enters into troubles and angers the local Don Gandipeta Babji (Rahul Dev). Cherry plans to save Jilebi from Babji by falling Madhu (Kajal) in love.
At the same time, High range of killings starts at Hyderabad and Calcutta. Local minister Rawat (Pradeep Rawat) is cause for these. A CBI team (led by Ashish Vidhyardhi) starts hunting for Charan and this leads to unexpected situations.
We all know, There is another love track with Amala Paul. How does Cherry escape from the CBI’s clutches? Can he prove his innocence? What is the Kolkata angle? That forms the rest of the story.
PLUS POINTS:
- Ram Charan did a good job in this film. He covered his weak points in this film, such as.. Dialogue Delivery and Voice Modulation.
- Ram Charan himself proved as a best dancer. He rocked with his steps in 'Laila O Laila' and 'Hey Nayak' songs.
- Kajal Agarwal is gorgeous and her scenes with Ram Charan cameout well. Amala Paul had a small role and she is limited to few scenes and songs in only second half. Eventhough, She looks great.
- Brahmanandam's comedy entertained brilliantly all the audience. Posani as 'Kokata Criminal', His comedy rocked all the way. M.S.Narayana is funny as a perpetually drunk CBI lip reading specialist.
- Jayaprakash Reddy is just ok as Rahul Dev’s Pedananna
- The first half came out very well with good comedy, dance, action and performance. The overall film moves very fast. Just as the second half starts to get a little heavy on action and violence, Posani comes in and livens up the proceedings.
- 'Kathi Lanti Pilla', 'Subhaleka Rasukunna', 'Laila O Laila', 'Hey Naayak' songs came out well.
MINUS POINTS:
- Plot of this film is major negative point. The script is routine and remembers us many hit films of V.V. Vinayak.
- The intervel Bang is very bad. By reveling the interval twist, We can easily guess the remaining story. Maybe, The story is taken to attract mass audience.
- The movie is saved with more entertainment quotient. Some fights are a little over the top.
- Climax could have been better.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:
- Chota K Naidu's Cinematography is major plus to the film. The songs picturization is terrific in Iceland.
- Editing is ok. Dialogues are good. Thaman's BGM's rocked all the way.
- Vinayak has a great ‘mass pulse’ and this fact is evident once again in this movie.
- When compared to Vinayak's previous films, The film had nothing great Screenplay.
